Upon completion of their program curricula, students who complete a major in Sociology will be able to:  

• understand and apply key concepts and major theoretical perspectives in the discipline,  
• understand how the social structure shapes the life chances of individuals and groups,
• understand the role of social institutions and social interactions in reproducing social inequalities,
• develop analytical, methodological, and statistical skills applicable to conducting and reflecting on quantitative and/or qualitative social scientific research, and
• apply their sociological knowledge and skills in real-world contexts.
