Sociology Learning Outcomes Upon completion of their program curricula, students who complete a major in Sociology will be able to: understand and apply key concepts and major theoretical perspectives in the discipline, understand how the social structure shapes the life chances of individuals and groups,understand the role of social institutions and social interactions in reproducing social inequalities,develop analytical, methodological, and statistical skills applicable to conducting and reflecting on quantitative and/or qualitative social scientific research, andapply their sociological knowledge and skills in real-world contexts.
