Whether you are entering the field for the first time or advancing from related work, Wilson ºìÌÒÊÓƵ ’s Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology (MS-SLP) program offers a student-centered, future-focused path toward becoming a skilled clinician who can serve multicultural, multilingual, and age-diverse populations with confidence, competence, and care. Designed for aspiring SLPs who want a rigorous, supportive, and clinically rich graduate education, the program blends evidence-based coursework, collaborative interprofessional learning, and diverse clinical experiences that reflect the full scope of modern speech-language practice.

Fall and Spring Cohort Options

Students will engage in a 16-month accelerated hybrid curriculum comprising of 56 credit hours completed over four trimesters. Each semester consists of two 8-week terms, allowing for an intensive and focused learning experience.  Students complete rigorous online coursework paired with live, interactive instruction, simulation-based experiences, and comprehensive clinical preparation.    

The MS-SLP program integrates two required on-campus residencies where students build and assess hands-on skills with faculty support. These are separate from clinical placements. Residencies ensure students demonstrate competence before entering the field. Clinical placements then provide real-patient care under licensed supervision, supported by Wilson ºìÌÒÊÓƵ ’s academic and clinical mentoring teams.

Program Goals

Within the , graduates of the Wilson MS-SLP program will:

1.  Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the biological, neurological, acoustic, and linguistic foundations of communication and swallowing across the lifespan.   
2. Integrate theoretical foundations, empirical research, clinical expertise, and individual and family preferences to develop, implement, and adapt evidence-informed assessment and intervention plans for individuals with communication and swallowing disorders across the lifespan.   
3. Engage in education, counseling, advocacy, and collaboration with clients, families, and caregivers in preventing, assessing, and treating communication and swallowing disorders across diverse populations.
4. Apply principles of ethical and professional competencies consistent with the standards of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and relevant licensure/certification boards.   
5. Engage in reflective practice and self-assessment to continually strengthen clinical competence, professionalism, and ethical practice in service delivery.   
6. Apply principles of Interprofessional Education (IPE) to participate appropriately with other healthcare professionals across interprofessional teams.
